The Start of Something New…

Welcome to our inaugural blog post. We are excited to welcome you to our new look website and the products and services that it showcases.

Our old website had far more words and far fewer images. Whilst it was good to be able to tell our story, we understand that most customers want to see the stunning products that we sell, alongside examples of our work.

A few words about us…

Thank you for taking some time to get to know us. Seeing as it is our first blog, on our shiny new website, we should probably introduce ourselves.

Moulton Kitchens was founded in 2015 and is a small but perfectly formed local business. The business concept for the business was established during a conversation between the two founding business partners, Tom and Ian and continues to be guided and managed by them in partnership.

Tom has more than ten years’ experience in the kitchen industry and cut his teeth installing kitchens for large retailers before moving through the industry as he learned his trade. Tom’s expertise are a huge asset to the business, we are one of a handful of companies that manage and employ our own installation teams. Tom is involved in every installation for Moulton Kitchens, sometimes as the lead installer and more frequently with an overview in his role as installation manager.

Ian’s has a background in design, retail and project management. He has a passion for design and a keen eye for quality. Ian’s day to day role is to manage the design and customer service side of the business and to co-ordinate with Tom as designs reach the point of installation.

So why a blog and what is its purpose?

When our web designer suggested a blog on our site we were initially unsure about it…what would we write…and who would read it (thank you by the way if you have got this far).

So we googled the definition of a blog and were reliably informed that it is:

“A blog (a truncation of the expression “weblog”) is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (“posts”).”

So there you have it…Our blog is a chance for you to get to know us. We will use it to share design ideas, reviews of products and also try to explain some of the challenges that customers (and occasionally retailers) face when stepping into our industry to make a purchase that they could ultimately live with for the next 10-15 years of their life.

We hope that it will gradually build up to provide a useful and insightful resource into the various elements of kitchen planning, design and installation. It will also grow to represent and reflect our business as we move forward in our journey…there are exciting times and announcements to come and we would love you to stay in touch with us.
